Work

Ciera has been tattooing for four years, with a strong foundation in all styles—from bold traditional to fine line, blackwork, illustrative, and beyond. While she enjoys the versatility that comes with adapting to each client’s vision, neotraditional is where her artistic instincts feel most at home. Rich in detail, expressive linework, and thoughtful composition, it’s a style that lets her bring both structure and creativity to every piece. No matter the subject or aesthetic, the focus is always on delivering clean, intentional work tailored to each individual.

About

Ciera is a tattoo artist based in Calgary, working out of Six and Grace in East Village. Her passion for tattooing began early—designing tattoos for her mom’s coworkers as a child—and has only deepened over the years. She first entered the industry in Vancouver, working as a receptionist in a busy street shop, and has now been involved in the tattoo industry for nearly a decade. With four years of professional tattooing experience, Ciera brings a thoughtful, grounded approach to her work, specializing in neotraditional designs while maintaining versatility across all styles. Her connection to tattooing is deeply personal, and she feels immense gratitude to pursue a craft that’s been both healing and creatively fulfilling.

AFTERCARE

With Second Skin Bandage

This bandage will be applied at your appointment. You can leave it on for up to 5 days. You can shower with this bandage on.
Do not workout in a way that will produce excessive sweat under the bandage.
Watch borders of bandage for lifting and exposing the tattoo.
Keep an eye out for redness bordering the bandage and itchiness as signs of allergy. If you believe you are having an allergic reaction to second skin or the bandage has been compromised and the tattoo is exposed, please remove early and proceed with steps below.
Otherwise, keep bandage on for 5 days before proceeding with steps below.

  1. Remove the bandage by pulling on the edges along your skin instead of up and away from your skin. If bandage is difficult to remove, you can remove under running water such as in the shower to loosen the grip.

  2. On day of removal, shower and use UNSCENTED soap to gently wash the area.

  3. Dab area dry with clean paper towel.

  4. Let air dry 5 min before using UNSCENTED lotion to moisturize.

  5. Continue using unscented lotion as much as is needed to keep area moisturized.

  6. Only wear loose clothing over the area for at least a week to avoid clothes sticking to tattoo. If clothes get stuck to tattoo, DO NOT pull clothes off. Run warm water over the area to release clothes from skin.

  7. Do not scratch or pick at the tattoo or scabs. If the skin is itchy while healing, you may use lotion to relieve, or slap the area instead of scratching.

  8. Tattoo is fully healed in 3 weeks from tattoo date. You can now resume swimming / baths. It's important to use sunscreen on tattooed areas to protect them from excessive fading / blurring. Make sure to clean skin and remoisturize after workouts or sweating.

You will have been wrapped in a temporary bandage / saran-wrap at the end of your appointment. If using saran-wrap, please remove after 2-4 hours.
If wrapped in a temporary opaque bandage, please remove the next morning.

  1. Shower immediately after removing bandage and do not use any soap on the area. Pat dry with clean paper towel, and let air dry for 10-15 min before applying AQUAPHOR only.

  2. Thin layers of Aquaphor is appropriate for the first 5 days, afterwhich you can start using a thinner unscented lotion if you'd like.

  3. Only wear loose clothing over the area for at least a week to avoid clothes sticking to tattoo. If clothes get stuck to tattoo, DO NOT pull clothes off. Run warm water over the area to release clothes from skin.

  4. Do not scratch or pick at the tattoo or scabs. If the skin is itchy while healing, you may use lotion to relieve, or slap the area instead of scratching.

  5. It's important to keep the tattoo moisturized, clean and protected from the sun for the entire healing process. This also includes refraining from swimming, saunas, and baths. Make sure to clean skin and remoisturize after workouts or sweating.

  6. Tattoo is fully healed in 3 weeks from tattoo date. You can now resume swimming / baths. It's important to use sunscreen on tattooed areas to protect them from excessive fading / blurring. Make sure to clean skin and remoisturize after workouts or sweating.
